About Us

A US Freight Partner
Built for Clarity

North Star Trade Group is a US-based freight forwarding and trade logistics company founded in 2023. We help importers and exporters move cargo through major American gateways — Los Angeles/Long Beach, New York/New Jersey, Houston, Miami, and Savannah — and across the Asia–US, Europe–US, and Latin America–US trade lanes.

Freight moves through many hands; accountability shouldn't. From the first quote to final delivery, one coordinator owns your shipment, keeps your documents in order, and tells you what happens next — before you have to ask.

  • Licensed carrier and customs-broker network across US ports
  • Door-to-door coverage in 40+ countries
  • Proactive milestone updates on every shipment
  • Quotes answered within one business day

What Shippers Say About Working With Us

We moved our peak-season imports from a big-box forwarder to North Star and cut our quote turnaround from four days to one. Same coordinator every time, and the pricing is exactly what lands on the invoice.

FAQ

Freight Questions,
Answered Directly

Typical port-to-port transit times are 14–35 days depending on the lane: Asia to the US West Coast usually runs 14–20 days, Asia to the East Coast 28–35 days, and Europe to the East Coast 10–15 days. Door-to-door timelines add drayage and customs clearance — we include the full estimate in every quote.

FCL (Full Container Load) gives you a sealed container exclusively for your cargo; LCL (Less than Container Load) shares container space with other shippers. FCL is usually faster and more cost-effective above roughly 13–15 cubic meters, while LCL lets smaller shipments move without paying for a full box. We price both so you can compare.

Most imports need a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and an Importer Security Filing (ISF) for ocean cargo, plus any product-specific permits. We review your paperwork before departure and coordinate the customs entry with licensed brokers so nothing is missing at arrival.

Yes. We arrange all-risk cargo insurance per shipment, typically priced as a small percentage of the insured value. Carrier liability alone is limited and rarely covers the real value of goods, so we recommend insurance for any shipment you couldn't comfortably absorb losing.

Quotes are free. Send origin, destination, cargo details, and timing through the form below or to info@northstartradegroup.com, and you'll receive an all-in quote within 24 business hours — ocean or air freight, plus drayage, customs coordination, and insurance if you need them.

Every shipment gets milestone updates — booking confirmed, cargo picked up, departed, arrived, cleared, delivered — sent to you as they happen, and our team monitors moves around the clock. You always have a named coordinator to call for anything in between.

No. We handle everything from a single LCL pallet to multi-container programs. Small shipments simply ride consolidated services, so you only pay for the space you use.

We serve 40+ countries, with daily activity on the Asia–US, Europe–US, and Latin America–US lanes through gateways like Los Angeles/Long Beach, New York/New Jersey, Houston, Miami, and Savannah. If your lane isn't listed, ask — our partner network reaches most major markets worldwide.
